The Web Platform Installer is a simple tool that installs Microsoft's entire Web Platform, including IIS7, Visual Web Developer 2008 Express Edition, SQL Server 2008 Express Edition and the .NET Framework.
Using the Web Platform Installer's user interface, you can choose to install either specific products or the entire Microsoft Web Platform onto your computer. The Web PI also helps keep your products up to date by always offering the latest additions to the Web Platform.

Microsoft have announce the availability of Microsoft Exchange Online and Microsoft SharePoint Online. These subscription services offer businesses a new way to purchase, deploy and manage the industry-leading e-mail and calendaring solution, and the industry-leading solution for portals and collaboration.
Businesses can buy or try the new services at http://www.microsoft.com/online.
As part of the Microsoft Online Services product family, Exchange Online and SharePoint Online are available separately or as a suite together with Office Live Meeting for conferencing, Microsoft Exchange Hosted Services and Microsoft Office Communications Online for instant messaging and presence.
The new Zune 3.1 firmware is available now.
It includes a major update to Zune Social, extra free games and some stability/performance updates to the Zune PC software and Zune firmware.

Concept Searching have updated their taxonomy management and auto-classification engine to be more tightly integrated with SharePoint. The metadata generated automatically by conceptSearching can now be placed directly into SharePoint properties where it will be utilised by Microsoft search products.
