Hyper-V and SSD


Just replaced my primary hard disk with a SSD (OCZ 128Gb) - big performance improvements.
These are the timings to start a SharePoint VM from scratch to displaying the first portal page.
Machine is a Dell Latitude D830 4Gb RAM.

SSD disk : Time: 2.13 mins

7200rpm disk : Time: 6.30 mins

      Nice to read those results but the best is coming when 128G Flash memory will be located close the CPU without SATA interface. SATA should remain used for very big storage at least for the next 10 years.
